Feed Your Ego Campaign | Loerie Awards

When we were asked to develop the campaign for the 2009 Loerie Awards, we were pretty excited. Promoting Africa’s premier advertising awards show was an opportunity for some self-deprecating humor. An excuse to push the envelope a little further than usual.

Loerie Awards – Feed Your Ego

The budget for this campaign was practically nil, so the key was to bring suppliers and collaborators on board with an idea they could take ownership of. ‘Feed your ego’ struck the right note with ego-conscious ad industry professionals. People were able to customize their own digital Egos that would go on to directly represent them in the many other campaign elements. Even Chesney Hawkes of ‘One and Only’ fame got into the spirit, giving us his egotistical song for nothing but the love of self-promotion.
